The young Saiyan Warrior stood in the middle of a cell. They had apprehended him for killing Tato in a duel. Tato had provoked him into fighting him, but he had been one of the illustrious Saiyan Elite. A quick glance at the cell had cast a sly smile on Spinazo's face. Apart from a security camera and a locked door, there was little that stopped him from escaping. Of course, if he
would escape; he would be utterly annihilated. It was this knowledge that prevented him, and anyone else for that matter, from escaping. Certain that everything would be fine, he had proven that Tato was a weakling, the young Saiyan warrior sat down on a bench and closed his eyes, and waited.
.:Meanwhile:.
"This... This is impossible!" Exclaimed one very excited Saiyan scientist, who stood leaning over a command console with a screen on which countless of numbers were scrolling down.
"What is impossible?" A colleague asked, who joined the first scientist; taking a look at the screen. Hesitation was replaced by surprise, surprise by shock and ultimately shock was replaced with disbelief. "These readings can not be correct," he exclaimed, his voice sounding far from certain.
"He went from a power level of 500 to 3500 and now he has a power level of over 18.000!" the first scientist said, pressing a couple of buttons on the console. "I checked and double checked, the readings stay the same. It seems that the weakling Spinazo has joined the ranks of the Elite."
"But... He is but a commoner!"
"Looks can deceive. We must report this. It'll certainly be of interest when they hear his case."
.:The next day:.
The warriors that took him from his cell appeared to be less secure, confident and cocky than they did the day before. It was the first thing that Spinazo noticed. The look in their eyes, he would recognize it everywhere, in every one, every time. It was
fear. Pure fear. Spinazo suspected that it was now known how powerful he had become and the fear of the former weakling, the former shame, was a substitute for proper respect. They would respect him in due time, Spinazo was certain of this.
His power level had preceded him. There was no trial. Only a briefing. Apparently a group of Saiyans were working for the enemy, for Freeza. It was his task to destroy them. No questions asked. If he were to survive the ordeal, he would become one of the Saiyan Elite.
Of course, how could he reject such an offer?
